Definition
The World Anti-Doping Agency's annually updated list of substances and methods banned in sport.
The World Anti-Doping Agency publishes the Prohibited List each year, effective from 1 January. It groups substances into classes. S0 covers non-approved substances, any pharmacological substance without current approval for human therapeutic use, and has named BPC-157 since 2022. S2 covers peptide hormones, growth factors and related substances, including GHRH and its analogues, growth hormone secretagogues and GHRPs, and thymosin β4 derivatives such as TB-500. Other classes cover anabolic agents, hormone and metabolic modulators, and more. The list applies to athletes under the World Anti-Doping Code. Its contents do not determine a substance's legal status for research.
